How the projection works​

  • 7-day weighted rate — after the 15th, the daily rate is based on the last 7 days so the forecast reacts faster to recent changes. Before the 15th, it uses the full month-to-date average.
  • Category projections — every category is shown with its current MTD spend and the projected end-of-month total. Categories with budgets show how close they are; those on track to exceed show the overage amount.
  • Recurring expenses — upcoming recurring expenses due before month-end are added to the projection so subscriptions and fixed costs are never missed.
  • Savings forecast — if you track income, the predicted savings amount and rate are shown.

Predictions require at least 3 days of data in the current month. Before that, there isn't enough history for a meaningful forecast.

Weekly digest​

If you opt in to the Weekly Digest, Duitbot automatically includes a spending forecast during the last week of the month (day 22+).

Plan requirement​

Spending prediction requires a Pro or Ultimate plan.
