Duitbot ("the bot", "we", "us") is a Telegram-based expense tracking service. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What data we collect
When you use Duitbot, we collect and store the following:
- Telegram account information — your Telegram user ID, display name, and username
- Financial data you provide — expenses, income, accounts, budgets, categories, and recurring expenses
- Group data — group names and membership if you use shared groups
- Billing information — your Stripe customer ID and subscription status (we do not store card details — these are handled entirely by Stripe)
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to provide the bot's features — tracking expenses, managing budgets, generating reports, and delivering insights. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or any purpose beyond operating the service.
Third-party services
Duitbot uses the following third-party services:
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro and Ultimate subscriptions. Stripe's privacy policy applies to billing data: stripe.com/privacy
- AWS Bedrock (Amazon Web Services) — AI processing for natural language understanding. Messages you send to the bot are processed by AWS. AWS's privacy policy applies: aws.amazon.com/privacy
- Sentry — error monitoring to help us identify and fix issues. Error reports may include limited context about the action that triggered the error
Data storage
Your data is stored on servers located in Malaysia. We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorised access.
Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Conversation history is automatically deleted after 24 hours.
Your rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 14 days.
